Strange Brew in Jim tdorpe

Open for takeout only as of this review (June 28, 2020). Interior and menu is Harry Potter themed. Establishment is comfortably air-conditioned. Staff all have masks and gloves on. Menu has smoothies, caffeinated drinks, baked goods, and many more. Come for butterbeer latte!

Their iced coffee was a little too sour, Irish Cream Latte excellent, and blueberry muffin simply heavenly!

The Harry Potter theme was definitely there but there were also a lot of other unrelated decorations—thought it was a little odd. The butterbeer latte was tasty but didn’t really taste like butterbeer. The Phoenix latte was very good. I also did not find the staff very friendly and thought they came off rather standoffish. Did not quite live up to the hype.Worth a visit if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t travel far to visit.

I'm obsessed with this place. I knew it as Strange Brew and I'm glad to see the new look and feel (but also glad that they didn't get rid of the music mural). The level of detail and creativity that had been put into this coffee shop warms my muggle heart.Shout out to the creative crafting of names with food and specialty drink. I love the official HP relics but then also the use of materials to nod towards the look/feel but that were made of common materials. Well done!I especially love the common room feel and being able to catch Harry Potter on a big screen 🧙‍♂️🔮

Vegan & gluten free options, good coffee, great staff, Harry Potter, literally what else does a place need???? I’m obsessed. Fantastic.

Cute place with great coffee! If you love fantasy or Harry Potter at all, for sure the place too pop in! They have tea and quiches too, very yummy!

Awesome gem tucked away in the cute little town of Jim Thorpe. They have AMAZING pastries and delicious brewed coffee. They have everything from Wizards Chess to constant looping of the Harry Potter movies on a large projection screen. Like the rest of the cafe they also have a Harry Potter themed menu. I would definitely recommend visiting this place to any HP fan. :)

Really cool place especially if you're into Harry Potter, me not so much. However The coffee was great! My girlfriend had the iced chi I tasted it myself it was great! I highly recommend this place, also they are kid friendly and have cookies and pastries as well.

Most amazing coffee, staff, and atmosphere! I forget what I got but it was amazing it was one of their special lattes and it had maple and cinnamon in it. Will definitely will be back soon!

Great coffee shop with friendly service and fun atmosphere. If you’re a fan of Harry Potter this place is a must visit. They always have one of the movies playing and the entire place has a Harry Potter decor. I got a home made pop tart and had a butter beer iced latte and they were very good! Will definitely return in the future.

Super cute shop. We enjoyed the over all look, mostly... But as other people have mentioned the giant music artist themed wall is very out of place. Line was super long and didn't move very fast, as I think there was only 1 person working (odd for a holiday). Drinks were good. My husband had the deathly Hallows (iced), I had a Mandrake Maple (iced)🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟, my so. Had a decafe hot MM, and my younger son had a hot chocolate. We also got some HP house cookies. It was certainly pricey, but we kind of expected that. We are already planning to stop in again this summer when were in the area again. But if the line is to the door again we probably wont wait.

Great themed cafe in a great location. The drinks and food were all well made and service was always friendly. Will return for sure!
